Volunteer

The YMCA was founded by a volunteer, George Williams in 1844 with the mission of putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Come join the volunteer movement and help us fulfill the YMCA mission on the Treasure Coast!

If you are interested, please fill out the volunteer application and turn in the application at any of our branches. We do run background checks on ALL of our volunteers to protect our members and guests. The process takes 3-7 days to become approved. Social Security number and date of birth are required. If you do not feel comfortable releasing that information please contact a staff member about access to our Volunteer Portal.

Volunteer Opportunities

Assist children attending afterschool program with homework during the school year.
Monday-Friday 3:00-4:30pm

Serve food and beverages to guests; collect proper money for food and beverage items.
Hours vary by season and sport, usually evenings and Saturday mornings

Greet members, answer questions, take photos.
Mornings between 7 am – 11 am. Other times are available. Flexible with days.

Conduct internet research. Open mail, make phone calls. Fax, copy, file documents, stuff envelopes.

Assist in maintaining grounds to include pressure washing, painting and other independent jobs.
