How to Apply for Free or Discounted Swim Lessons:

  • Health InsuranceSunshine Health and AmeriHealth Caritas Florida offer a swimming and water safety lesson benefit that will cover up to $200 each year per child for group or private lessons. To enroll, call their member services at 1-855-355-9800 (AmeriHealth) or 1-866-796-0530 (Sunshine Health) between April 1st through April 30th, enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Once approved bring your authorization letter to our front desk to register for swim lessons. 
  • Cleveland Clinic Voucher: Ask your child’s doctor to sign a YMCA swim lesson voucher and bring it our front desk to register for a series of 6 to 8 group swim lessons. 
  • S.P.L.A.S.H. program: The Children’s Services Council of Martin County provides free swimming lessons for economically disadvantaged Martin County children between the ages of 6 months and 14 years of age. To qualify, Parent or Guardian must supply proof of residency in Martin County and income verification (i.e. proof of EBT, SNAP, Medicaid or free or reduced cost lunch eligibility.)   • YMCA Scholarship Fund: Our Y gives annual scholarships to provide all children and families in our community access to our programs and services regardless of their economic circumstances, click here to learn more and apply.
