LaDonna Cromartie
LaDonna has worked in Early Childhood Education for over 28 years. She started as a Family Support Specialist at Healthy Families for Indian River County and went on to teach VPK in 2003 for LaPetite Academy and then became a Director at Indian River Christian Preschool in 2009 while still teaching VPK when needed. LaDonna also taught VPK for Bridges Early Learning Center in Vero Beach. Since then, she continued as a Director at Eagles Nest Childcare Center in Tallahassee and Tampa Daycare Center while occasionally teaching VPK at both. Mostly recently, LaDonna was the Director of Early Learning and Extended Care for Plato Academy in Tampa, FL.
She always knew that she wanted to work with children since she was in elementary school thanks to the influence of her phenomenal aunt who recently retired from Head Start in St. Lucie County after 45 years!
She is excited to be working with the YMCA and becoming a part of the family here and she looks forward to the wonderful opportunities in the future.
