The Y is a cause-driven charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs to build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
The Y nurtures the potential of every child and teen, improves the nation’s health and well-being, and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors. We change lives! We make sure that everyone, no matter their age, gender, race or ability, is welcomed as part of the YMCA family.
YMCA members are what makes the Y so special. This is where friends and families come together to strengthen spirit, mind and body. Our Members and Community support is how we help others. Through annual contributions from individuals and local businesses as well as through fundraisers, grants and foundation support, we are able to award scholarships to families in need. Our scholarships ensure that every child is able to reach their full potential from Preschool to Summer Camp, Youth Sports to Swim Lessons – we never turn anyone away for the inability to pay! Did you know that we support Families and Seniors as well? Healthy Living is a pillar of our organization and we strive to see that everyone is able to be a part of the Y, regardless of socioeconomic status, the Y is a place where everyone can belong! And we welcome you to join us!
Youth Development: We believe all kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and all they can achieve. Our reading programs prepare kids for success in school. Our Youth in Government program develops future leaders.
Healthy Living: With a mission centered on balance, we encourage good health and family connections through fitness, sports, nutrition, prevention and, most important of all, good fun. We help youth, adults and families with the support, guidance and resources they need to achieve greater well-being for the mind, spirit and body.
Social Responsibility: With your help, we unite people for good, and make sure everyone has a place where they belong. We do this by making our services available to all, regardless of the financial barriers they might face. We are advocates for the well-being of every member of the Y family and our community at large.
