Maria Rodriguez

Maria came to the YMCA with over 15 years of experience in all components of the human resources field.  Her employment history reflects working with vulnerable populations like people with disabilities and drug/alcohol addicts which she is passionate about.  She has served in management roles for Arc, NYC and Treatment Management Company.  Maria earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Touro College; a private university in New York City.  It was there she realized she wanted to pursue an HR career.  She refers to human resources as the heart of an organization and feels privileged to represent the company as well as its employees.  She believes in leading by example and maintaining an open-door policy where everyone feels included and equal.  She felt an immediate sense of community when she came to the YMCA and knew she wanted to be a part of our team. Her heart to serve is demonstrated through her volunteer work in housekeeping, hospitality and food pantry. 

Maria is married and has two daughters and two grandsons. She looks forward to family time and especially enjoys Sunday dinners at her home.
