Financial Assistance is available for Summer Camp in Stuart, Indiantown, Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce

“At the Y, we believe every child should have the opportunity to grow, thrive and learn regardless of their ability to pay. Our community becomes a better place when all our children are able to explore their abilities to their fullest potential,” says YMCA of the Treasure Coast CEO, Charlene Lyons, SHRM-CP.

Ask any working parent what the most anxiety-inducing words are, and they will undoubtedly tell you it’s “Summer Break”. For caregivers of young children, having to find safe, quality summer programming can be quite a challenge. Luckily, the YMCA of the Treasure Coast is here to help. The Y welcomes scholarship applications and ELC subsidies for all childcare, across all branches. Space is limited in many camps, so scholarships are awarded according to demonstrated financial need and on a first-come, first-served basis for as long as Y funds are available. Visit www.ymcatreasurecoast.org/financial-assistance to apply. When applying for a YMCA Childcare scholarship, applicants must first apply for School Readiness Subsidies administered by the Early Learning Coalition (ELC), to apply visit www.ELCIRMO.org for residents of Martin and Okeechobee Counties or www.ELCSLC.org for St. Lucie County residents.

At the YMCA of the Treasure Coast’s Summer Camp children (K-8th grade) will create lifelong memories while participating in enriching STEAM and literacy activities, special events, presentations, arts & crafts, games, swimming, sports and so much more! All of our highly qualified camp counselors have completed Level 2 Background Checks, passed a drug test, are CPR and First Aid Certified, and have been trained to ensure that your child’s summer is an incredible experience.

Not yet convinced that the YMCA Summer program is for you? Consider this: Swim Lessons for campers at all 7 locations, including St. Lucie County, are included in the cost of tuition. Our certified YMCA lifeguards provide hours of lessons at no additional cost, adding value to the program that parents find priceless. Last year, over 300 children received free swim lessons during the Y’s Summer Camp and 91% of these children passed their full swim test at the end of the summer!
