Our Y gives over $200,000 a year in scholarships to provide all children and families in our community access to our programs and services regardless of their economic circumstances. These funds help kids attend preschool and child care programs. They also pay for swimming lessons, summer camp, youth sports and more. The Y is a charity and our mission is to strengthen our community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Our programs are intended to build a healthy mind, body and spirit for all.
At the Y, we believe every child should have the opportunity to grow, thrive and learn. Our community becomes a better place when all our children are able to explore their abilities to their fullest potential.
Financial Assistance Application
If you need help, please call us at 772-286-4444, ext 232 or email us.
We use a sliding fee scale for each individual’s financial situation. Recipients pay a portion of their YMCA membership fees to foster a greater sense of ownership, pride and responsibility. As much as we would like to provide each applicant with funding, our Community Support Campaign funds are limited. As a result, funds may occasionally be unavailable and limited to those who demonstrate the greatest need.
Please note that when applying for a Childcare scholarship, applicants must first apply for ELC Funding. For more info on ELC Funding, click here. If you have applied and been denied funding through ELC, please include a copy of your ELC letter with your YMCA Scholarship Application.
To submit the quick form, applicants must provide a copy of last years’ tax return (not a W-2). Otherwise, applicants can fill out a regular funding application. PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY AND COMPLETE THE APPLICATION IN FULL, TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE.
All YMCA members receive the same membership benefits, regardless of whether they receive assistance. That’s because we care about the health and well-being of every member of the community. We are committed to our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
